After the sherrif ends up shooting a man during an unsuccessful attempt to plant drugs in his boat, K.C. draws Mr. Chapel's attention to the situation.

A woman gets a murderer convited by her eye-witness testimony. He stalks her from jail, and when he is released on an appeal Mr. Chapel knows that she needs protection. Mr. Chapel finds himself being stalked as well, and K.C. realizes that Mr. Chapel takes the situation personally. The unsuspecting client falls for Mr. Chapel even though her brother ends up getting killed by the murderer.
